Jeffereson Davis |
Davis was the first and only Confederate president, from 1860 to 1865, leading the loosely tied Confederate states. He worked hard to consolidate the civil government and carry out military operations. Especially in the early years of the Confederacy, he was relatively popular with the Southerns. After the war, he refused to request an official pardon from the United States Government, so he was unable to serve later in the Senate.

Robert E. Lee |
Robert E. Lee was the general of the Confederate soldiers. He was offered a position by Lincoln in the Union because his success in the Mexican War, but rejected it for the chance to fight with his his fellow Virginians. He eventually had to surrender the Confederate troops at Appomattox to the Union army on April 9,1865.

William T. Sherman |
Sherman was a Union general who won the Battle of Atlanta, destroying a transportation hub of the South. His troops destroyed a significant amount of railroad supply lines. He then continued to move his troops on the infamous "March to the Sea" in which his troops burned and destroyed most everything in their path.
